Last chance!!!  CANINE CANCER WARRIORS ends tomorrow, February 18, at 10:00pm C.S.T!!!

A total of 72 shirts and hoodies have sold so far!  YIPPEE!!!  Can we hit 100?   I have a goal in mind and I think it can be reached or at least we can come really close if a total of 100 shirts and hoodies sell!  That’s only 28 more!  WE CAN DO IT!!!

Because of each and every one of you, Bone Cancer Dogs, Inc. received 100% of the profits from the initial campaign that ended on February 8 and sold 228 shirts and hoodies, which was $3,647.00!  Yes, $3,647.00 that went directly toward funding of specific research directed toward canine osteosarcoma!  Together we ALL made a difference! ❤️

CANINE CANCER WARRIORS was started to honor my Charley (4 Year, 3 Month Bone Cancer Warrior) and all of the Canine Cancer Warriors who are currently fighting the biggest battle of their life and in memory of those who have earned their angel wings!  100% of the profits…yes 100%…will again be donated to help fund canine cancer ongoing trials and research! 1 in 3 dogs will be diagnosed with cancer. 50% of dogs over the age of 10 will die from cancer.

❤️ PLEASE SHARE!!! ❤️

I know most of you are dog lovers.  Many of you have had a personal experience with canine cancer or know someone close to you who has.  Dog lovers have lots of doggie lover friends who know other doggie lover friends.  Even if you don’t want to buy a Canine Cancer Warriors shirt, PLEASE SHARE because…Together we can ALL make a difference!  ♥

All of the shirts and hoodies are Charley approved too!

Here’s pictures of the front and back of the shirt I designed.  The shirt is available in a short sleeve tee, long sleeve tee, hoodie and a women’s fitted tee and they come in a variety of colors.

Never give up hope!  My hope is that one day there is a cure for this dreaded disease….

Sending lots of positive thoughts and prayers to all of you and your furry babies!

Thank you for all of your prayers, positive thoughts, hugs, and kisses.  It is greatly appreciated and we can’t thank you enough for all of your support!

Good news!  Charley’s chest rads are clear!!!  YIPPEE!!!  All of the angels at Rainbow Bridge must be looking out for my boy!  Thank you all for your positive thoughts and prayers!  Charley wore his Valentine’s Day bowtie to his appointment today and he was a big hit with all of the staff!

Dr. Buss has been seeing Charley since before he was 2 years old because of the aneurysmal cyst that his vet initially thought was cancer in his left mid-humerus and then the OS developed 7 months later in the same humerus but proximally.

Dr. Buss made the comment today that he never gets to see a dog grow up (Charley will turn 7 next month) and he was actually smiling and very talkative today….I started thinking and I bet as an oncologist he doesn’t get to share much good news or get to know people as long as he has known us which is really sad.  He said he wanted to know where Charley found the fountain of youth and he can’t believe it’s been 4 years 3 months since his amp and 15 months since his OS met was removed.  He said Charley looks great!  We go back in 3 months….I’m not comfortable going longer than that.

I also wanted to thank each of you for making Canine Cancer Warriors a HUGE success! THANK YOU!!!

You have all helped me surpass my initial goal to sell 20 shirts and hoodies. A total of 228 shirts and hoodies were sold! I am truly amazed!

Because of each and every one of you, Bone Cancer Dogs, Inc. (www.bonecancerdogs.org) will be receiving 100% of the profits…..drum roll, please…..

$3,647.00!!! Yes, that’s $3,647.00 that will go directly toward funding of specific research directed toward canine osteosarcoma!  Together we ALL made a difference! ❤️

Additional orders have been placed since the campaign ended last night, and the CANINE CANCER WARRIORS campaign has relaunched and shirts and hoodies will be available again from now until Wednesday, February 18.

In honor of Charley and all of the Canine Cancer Warriors who are currently fighting the biggest battle of their life and in memory of those who have earned their angel wings!  100% of the profits…yes 100%…will again be donated to help fund canine cancer ongoing trials and research! 1 in 3 dogs will be diagnosed with cancer. 50% of dogs over the age of 10 will die from cancer. ***ONLY 1 DAY LEFT!***  Ends tomorrow, Sunday February 8, at 10pm CST!

185 shirts and hoodies have already sold!!!  YAY!  YIPPEE!! WOO HOO!!! Let’s try for 200!!!  We can do it!!!

Thank you for all of your support for CANINE CANCER WARRIORS!  I’m keeping the amount that’s been raised so far a secret, but after the campaign is over and the profits are calculated I will share the total raised for Bone Cancer Dogs, Inc.

In honor of Charley and all of the Canine Cancer Warriors who are currently fighting the biggest battle of their life and in memory of those who have earned their angel wings!  100% of the profits…yes 100%…will be donated to help fund canine cancer ongoing trials and research! 1 in 3 dogs will be diagnosed with cancer. 50% of dogs over the age of 10 will die from cancer. Together we can ALL make a difference! ❤️ PLEASE SHARE!!! ❤️

Bone Cancer Dogs, Inc. has already funded 3 clinical trials.  100% of the profits from this campaign will be donated.  Since this campaign has been Donation Verified, all of the profits will go directly to Bone Cancer Dogs, Inc.  75% of all donations to Bone Cancer Dogs, Inc. go directly toward funding of specific research directed toward canine osteosarcoma.  The remaining 25% are used to support the organizations’s insurance, federal and state requirements, and the website.

Human cancer trials are first done on dogs because dog’s get the same cancers as we do and a dog’s system responds to cancer the same way ours does!  Many of the cancer trials on dogs go on to become standards of care in humans, so more trials are needed.  Osteosarcoma (bone cancer), which Charley has, mostly occurs in children and young adults and the prognosis is poor.  Unfortunately treatment options and success rates haven’t changed much in 20 years, but with more clinical trials hopefully this will change in our lifetime!

The statistics are startling!  1 in 3 dogs will develop cancer in their lifetime and 50% of dogs over the age of 10 will die from cancer.  Believe me, I didn’t know either and I was ignorantly living in bliss until Charley was diagnosed at age 2-1/2 with bone cancer.

Here’s pictures of the front and back of the shirt I designed.  The shirt is available in a short sleeve tee, long sleeve tee, hoodie and a women’s fitted tee and they come in a variety of colors.

Happy Happy Happy 4 Year, 3 Month Ampuversary Charley!!!  I can’t believe it’s been 15 months since his metastatic OS tumor was removed!  Charley’s been doing great and he goes back the oncologist on Thursday, 2/12/15, for another met check.  Of course we’ll be keeping our fingers and 3-paws crossed for only good news.  Of course positive thoughts and prayers are always appreciated and welcome!

I wanted to share the newest addition in our home….no it’s not a baby Labby brother for Charley, but hopefully someday…it’s a canvas gallery of some of our family pictures that we had taken in Cape San Blas, FL this past Florida.  Every day when I see these pictures I can’t help but smile!  Cape San Blas is in the Florida panhandle and the sugar white sand and blue green water is amazing!  The best part about the Cape is the beaches are completely dog friendly!

There has been so much sadness and way too many losses lately, that I wanted to try to make a difference.    This past Sunday night I started a campaign on Teespring called CANINE CANCER WARRIORS to raise money for Bone Cancer Dogs, Inc. to help fund ongoing clinical trials and research.

Here’s a picture of impatient Charley….he wanted to open his presents now!

YAY!!!  YIPPEE!!!  WOO HOO!!!

Charley’s met check on 11/13/14 went great and his lungs are clear!  Dr. Buss said Charley looks great and makes the top of his list of miracle dogs, which just warms his momma’s heart!   Charley is a 4 Year Bone Cancer Warrior and he’s 1 year post metastatic OS removal!

GO CHARLEY!  Keep fighting for all of our cancer warriors whom are no longer fighting and for all of those that are in the midst of their battle!

HAPPY 4 YEAR AMPUVERSARY CHARLEY!!!   YIPPEE!!!  YAY!!!  WOO HOO!!!  HIP “HOP” HOORAY!!!

Today is Charley’s 4 Year Ampuversary!  I can’t believe that it has been almost a year (11/8/13) since his metastatic OS tumor was removed.  I am so proud of Charley for being the OS Warrior that he is and has been for over 4 years!  I’m so proud of his courage, strength, and resiliency! I’m blessed to have been given an additional 1,461 precious days with Charley since his amputation!  I’m in awe of the lessons that Charley has taught me along this journey.  I pray that he has many many more years of lessons to teach me.  I pray that his mission here on earth consists of many more years of inspiring others with hope as they start or continue on their osteosarcoma journey.  Charley is definitely loving life and living with cancer, not dying of cancer.

As I promised Charley last year when we found out that his cancer returned, we took him to the beach a few weeks ago to celebrate his huge milestone.  My parents, Joe, Charley and I drove down to Cape San Blas in Port St. Joe, FL to spend a week enjoying the powder white sand and blue green waters of the Gulf of Mexico.  We rented a beach cottage directly on the beach and Charley LOVED every minute of it!  The beach at Cape San Blas is completely dog friendly, as are a few restaurants, if anyone is dreaming of a beach getaway!  We had a photographer take our pictures on the beach and they turned out beautiful!

Charley, you are loved more than you will ever know.  You are my hero, my cancer warrior, my love, my Charley…. ♥ ♥ ♥

I’ll post again soon with some pictures and videos of Charley swimming in the ocean since this post is long enough with all of the family pictures.

I’m a few days late but Charley’s 47th Month Ampuversary was on 9/28, so Happy Belated Ampuversary!!!   YIPPEE!!!  YAY!!!  WOO HOO!!!   HIPHOP” HOORAY!!!

We are getting very close to celebrating 4 years on 10/28/14!  To put 4 years into perspective in Charley’s life, he was 2-1/2 years old when he was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma and he just turned 6-1/2 years old on 9/29.  On his 4th ampuversary, he will have spent 66.6% of his life as a Tripawd fighting cancer and it will be 1 year since having his metastatic OS tumor removed.  Pretty amazing indeed!  I can barely remember him having 4 legs.  This is why Charley is and will always be a Bone Cancer Warrior!

To honor Charley’s AMAZING journey we have a BIG surprise for our boy!  Drum roll please…..

When Charley’s OS came back in October 2013, I promised him that I would take him to see the ocean to swim in the waves and run in the sand (living in St. Louis, MO he has never seen the ocean).  My parents, Joe, Charley and I are renting a mini van and driving 13++ hours to Cape San Blas, FL (It’s an inlet about 1 hr or so east of Panama City with the gulf on one side and St. Joe Bay on the other).  We rented a 2 bdrm house directly on the beach.  Cape San Blas is completely dog friendly with no beach restrictions…YAY!  Charley will be running in the powder white sand and swimming in the green blue gulf water!  He already has his own float coat to wear!  I hired a photographer to take sunset beach pictures of Charley and all of us too!  Long story short…it’s a surprise vacation for Charley!

Charley survivor1

Charley LOVES his cow ears!  Every night around 7pm he will start bugging us for one…..if we don’t get him what he wants he will start barking!  Spoiled??  I say so and he deserves to be spoiled rotten!

Sending lots of positive thoughts and prayers to all of you and your furry babies!

Thank you for all of your prayers, positive thoughts, hugs, and kisses.  It is greatly appreciated and we can’t thank you enough for all of your support!

Today is Charley’s 46 Month Ampuversary!!!   YIPPEE!!!  YAY!!!  WOO HOO!!!   HIPHOP” HOORAY!!!

We are getting very close to celebrating 4 years!  To put 4 years into perspective in Charley’s life, he was 2-1/2 years old when he was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma and he will be 6-1/2 years old the end of next month.

Charley enjoyed his brief photo shoot in the front yard this evening…of course posing for treats!  It’s been very hot and humid here recently, between 105-110 with the heat index, so his outside time has almost been non-existent the past week or so.

Here’s my beautiful boy….
