Charley saw his oncologist, Dr. Buss, this Thursday May 7th and it’s all good news! Charley’s chest x-rays were clear (no mets) and Dr. Buss said Charley looks great! YIPPE!!! That’s a great way to celebrate Joe’s 40th Birthday too! Charley is a 4-1/2 YEAR Bone Cancer Warrior and it’s been 1-1/2 YEARS since his osteosarcoma met was removed from underneath his amputation scar! His next met check is scheduled for 8/6/15.
Charley also received his Karma Collar that he won in the contest on Facebook in March. The Karma collar is the “Hendrix” and it looks great on Charley. Joe thinks he looks like a king wearing it! Thank you to all who voted to help Charley win it! Here’s some pictures of Charley rocking his new collar.
❤️ NEVER GIVE UP HOPE!!! ❤️
Sending lots of positive thoughts and prayers to all of you and your furry babies!
Thank you for all of your prayers, positive thoughts, hugs, and kisses. It is greatly appreciated and we can’t thank you enough for all of your support!

Good news! Charley’s chest rads are clear!!! YIPPEE!!! All of the angels at Rainbow Bridge must be looking out for my boy! Thank you all for your positive thoughts and prayers! Charley wore his Valentine’s Day bowtie to his appointment today and he was a big hit with all of the staff!
Dr. Buss has been seeing Charley since before he was 2 years old because of the aneurysmal cyst that his vet initially thought was cancer in his left mid-humerus and then the OS developed 7 months later in the same humerus but proximally.
Dr. Buss made the comment today that he never gets to see a dog grow up (Charley will turn 7 next month) and he was actually smiling and very talkative today….I started thinking and I bet as an oncologist he doesn’t get to share much good news or get to know people as long as he has known us which is really sad. He said he wanted to know where Charley found the fountain of youth and he can’t believe it’s been 4 years 3 months since his amp and 15 months since his OS met was removed. He said Charley looks great! We go back in 3 months….I’m not comfortable going longer than that.
I also wanted to thank each of you for making Canine Cancer Warriors a HUGE success! THANK YOU!!!
You have all helped me surpass my initial goal to sell 20 shirts and hoodies. A total of 228 shirts and hoodies were sold! I am truly amazed!
Because of each and every one of you,
Bone Cancer Dogs, Inc. (
www.bonecancerdogs.org) will be receiving 100% of the profits…..drum roll, please…..
$3,647.00!!! Yes, that’s $3,647.00 that will go directly toward funding of specific research directed toward canine osteosarcoma! Together we ALL made a difference! ❤️
Additional orders have been placed since the campaign ended last night, and the CANINE CANCER WARRIORS campaign has relaunched and shirts and hoodies will be available again from now until Wednesday, February 18.
In honor of Charley and all of the Canine Cancer Warriors who are currently fighting the biggest battle of their life and in memory of those who have earned their angel wings! 100% of the profits…yes 100%…will again be donated to help fund canine cancer ongoing trials and research! 1 in 3 dogs will be diagnosed with cancer. 50% of dogs over the age of 10 will die from cancer. Together we can ALL make a difference! ❤️ PLEASE SHARE!!! ❤️
Here’s pictures of the front and back of the shirt I designed. The shirt is available in a short sleeve tee, long sleeve tee, hoodie and a women’s fitted tee and they come in a variety of colors.
I know most of you are dog lovers. Many of you have had a personal experience with canine cancer or know someone close to you who has. Dog lovers have lots of doggie lover friends who know other doggie lover friends. Even if you don’t want to buy a Canine Cancer Warrior Shirt, PLEASE SHARE !!! ♥ Together we can ALL make a difference! ♥

Great news!!! Charley saw his oncologist today for chest x-rays and they were clear! YIPPEE!!! YAY!!! WOO HOO!!!
Dr. Buss said that Charley looks great! He can’t believe it’s been almost 10 months since his OS met was removed!
Our next met check will be on 11/13/14…2 weeks after Charley’s 4 Year Ampuversary!!!
Charley decided to wear a bow tie to impress his oncologist today…I think it worked! 🙂 Here are some pics from today and they are a bit blurry. Charley was a bit anxious today, had difficulty sitting still and was a bit too distracted to pose for pictures. I don’t blame him at all…he did have his leg amputated there, 5 rounds of Carboplatin, a CT-scan, his OS met removed, 6 rounds of chemo alternating between Doxorubicin and Lomustine, numerous chest x-rays and blood work, countless poking and prodding, 4-1/2 years of oncology visits, etc. Just a few reasons why Charley is my OS Warrior!
Sending lots of positive thoughts and prayers to all of you and your furry babies!
